For 100 years, the Universitätsgesellschaft has supported Leibniz Universität Hannover in fulfilling its scientific and educational tasks. It supports students as well as the cooperation of science, administration, business and culture at the university.
At its general meeting on 8 June 2022, the members elected three new board members. In addition to Volker Alt, Chairman of the Board of Sparkasse Hannover, and Prof. Dr. Stefanie Heiden, from the Institute for Innovation Research, Technology Management and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr. Michèle Heurs, from the Institute for Gravitational Physics and Dean of the QUEST Leibniz Research School, will also strengthen the University Society's management body for the term of office 2022 to 2026.
