Abstract

On the basis of large-scale tests new temperature-dependent material characteristics of structural steel have been developed up to 1000 degree C for computer simulation under fire load. Their application within an incrementally formulated finite element method has shown good agreement with the test results with regard to the load-bearing and deformation behavior in the entire temperature range examined.
