- Abstract
Since the opening of the market in 1990 India has increasingly attracted foreign direct investments. The reforms have also led to an increasing number of German investors in India. This dissertation addresses the following aims: (1) to find the motives of the German investors in India, (2) to analyze the location choice of the German investors and (3) to identify the effects of the German investments in India.The data used in this dissertation was collected by semi-structured interviews. The interviewdata was analyzed using qualitative content analyses tool.
Overall, this dissertation contributes to understanding the German investments in India and to further develop the theory of foreign direct investments.- Organisation(s)
