The Quantum Future Academy, organised by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), is a one-week academy for young talents focusing on applied quantum technologies. Since 2018, it has offered a unique opportunity to gain exclusive insights into a wide variety of fields.

In 2024, the Quantum Future Academy took place in Quantum Valley Lower Saxony. The successful event offered 30 students excursions to leading companies and institutes, lectures by experts in the field of quantum technologies, exclusive insights into the current state of research and development, discussions and networking with entrepreneurs, start-ups and founders, interactive workshops and a cultural evening programme.

Stations included the Hannover Institute of Technology (HITec) and the Laboratory for Nano and Quantum Engineering (LNQE) in Hannover, the Laboratory for Emerging Nanometrology (LENA) at the TU Braunschweig and the Quantum Technology Competence Centre (QTZ) at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt in Braunschweig (PTB).

A report on the Quantum Future Academy 2024 has been published on quantentechnologien.de (in German).
