Together with Lower Saxony's Minister of Science Falko Mohrs, Boris Pistorius visited the three extended clusters of excellence at Leibniz University Hannover. Hearing4all, PhoenixD and QuantumFrontiers provided insights into their basic research and current developments with illustrative examples. The combination of QuantumFrontiers and Quantum Valley Lower Saxony also proved to be a hotspot for quantum metrology, with both organisations looking back on the region's state-of-the-art infrastructure, a three-digit million sum in third-party funding and numerous spin-offs. The highlights of the tour were the captured ions in the quantum computer laboratory and the Einstein Elevator drop tower.
